Doujin Market (Doujima) 2024 was a huge challenge for us because it was the first time we were taking on a 3m x 3m space! We were very fortunate to have had the opportunity, but many difficulties arose such as how to dress up the space and utilise it fully. Thankfully, the team I was working with were very cooperative and we managed (somehow) to set up a pretty unforgettable booth!
The theme for us was ‘Travelling Merchants’ and we wanted to give the impression of a tavern with various wares, because that was what we were! Our booth helpers were great too, helping to draw quite the crowd with their medieval lingo and warm smiles! Thank you booth helpers!
I was honestly super sick during the convention because I had stayed up the night before preparing my Project Voltage stickers. But I was so proud of how they turned out and they sold better than I expected! A corner was also dedicated to all my extra toys, which contributed greatly to how much I earned this con.
We set up the mail box drop off at the booth too, and I also got to work on many commissions live on-site. Thank you to everyone who came by to converse with my representative and boothmates, and though I was quite ill I had a lot of fun. Hopefully, next year we can bring about another great experience for you all!
