Happy New Year my loves, I’ll try to keep this succinct but I’m a sappy little bunny with a some weight on my shoulders, so please bear with me.????
2024 has been a wonderful year, from starting Hime’s Design House and successfully hosting it 17 times (including 1 bonus episode with 8 guests), hosting a design contest, playing a LOT of games, doing more covers and collabs than in any year I’ve been a content creator, to having our first 3m x 3m booth at a physical event, while juggling work, art, and everything else. In fact, I don’t think I’ve taken many stream breaks except for when I was overseas! (So I guess I managed it quite well!)
Some days, I got unexpected tired out spending time to tend to everything, so one of my resolutions for 2025 is to trust more people to help with my content creation process. Whether it is in scripting, editing or more. (Shoutout to my mods and editors of 2024, thank u so much!) I’ve always tried to do too many things (if not ALL of the things) with my time. This year, I want to entrust more people to help the process!
So if you are someone with a skillset that could help a creator like me, please reach out!)
Looking back at 2024, I’m proud of myself and incredibly grateful for the help I had along the way. There were many enjoyable life moments too. I went on my postponed honeymoon with Chewy, and spent lots of time with loved ones both online (you guys) and offline ♡ I will definitely blog about our Japan, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur trips eventually! Meanwhile, I have an article up on the Toy stores we sought out in Bangkok!
If I’m being honest, streaming is the least profitable hobby I have, calculating the hourly rate (often being $0~$3/hr on quiet days) and how much I spend on it (have you seen the art this year?!D:). But I do it because I Iove it, and love the interactions that come with being your streamer!♡ You are some of the most wholesome, h̶o̶e̶s̶o̶m̶e̶, understanding, and supportive people, and it’s been such a blessing to stream for you.
The Carrot Club funded many of our projects this year such as covering merch production costs, art expenditure and more through their generous support. Consider joining if you are a fan of art and want an alternative way to help us grow!
Whether I can continue doing this to the extent I am now depends on what life throws at me. But I truly hope to do this for as long as I can. I can’t promise to be here forever, since anything could happen. But I promise to do my upmost to sustain myself, care for myself and manage my life to be able to accommodate some form of creative venture that can add value to your life always.
Streaming happened to be that for me the past 4 years is all!
Our best performing streams this year (where raids were sustained or views were organic) were:
1. Vampire Miku Cosplay????HIME’S BIG BIRTHDAY UNBOXING!! ????- VOD was not exported due to the stream length, but I hope to cut a highlight video soon ;;
2. [Muted but in Chat] Chill Afternoon Art with ‘Until Then’ in the background (Chewy is playing) – A DS-style stream that I did not expect to do well since I was muted, but it seems chat loved going through the story with me while I did art of it!
3. [HANDCAM] UMM HIME IN A MAID OUTIFT? Halloween Countdown!! – Our final stream concluding the Halloween special ‘Down the Rabbit Hole’ stream series! (Blog on it soon)
4. 4th Stream Anniversary SUBATHON Day 1!
5. Infinity Nikki Launch Day Stream – We wrote some fanfiction and played some Love and Deepspace beforehand!
I don’t want to look at the numbers sometimes, and just sit back to enjoy myself, but a lot of opportunities are locked behind numbers in the content creation space. I am thankful for our slow and steady climb! In January, August and November, we seemed to do a lot better in average viewership, so I’ll be looking back at those months to see what we managed to do right! (if you have any that you loved, please let me know!)
I am especially grateful for every opportunity extended to V:DO and I, especially since we are so small compared to many others. This year, we got to work with Audio Technica and Avermedia for V:DO Fantasy (Our first Youtube DnD Campaign). I also got to work with Kinder World and Stickybomb to name a few! A big, big, heartfelt thank you to those who believed in us!
Now I need your help!
In 2025, I intend to expand my content creation to Youtube, posting videos and streaming there. It’s been fnu being an almost-exclusive Twitch streamer, but the 50/50 cut is felt. Youtube is a fixed 70/30, (70% going to the creator), and the subscription prices are also lower, so it makes sense to stream there too. Not to meniton, all my video mode content can be in one place!
But first, we have to hit Youtube Partner! Which will require us to hit 500 subscribers and 3,000 watch hours (including livestreams and video watchers). Currently, our progress is as such:

I’m blessed with some really incredible supporters and viewers, and I hope I can continue to entertain you all for a long time to come.
