Love and Deepspace: Xavier Deluded Fiction [Tomorrow’s Catch-22]

The reviews weren’t kidding when they said these cards were good! I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of fluff included in Xavier’s Deluded Fiction! This is the first banner where I’m seeing stories clock in around an hour each, which is amazing, content wise. The worldbuilding is interesting and though the outfits are ABSOLUTELY UNNECESSARILY – THAT. I’m still into it and its made for some amazing fanart and photobooth food.

This is also the first banner where I did not pull for all the love interests. It used to be manageable when there were just 3 Love Interests, but now with Sylus and Caleb, I would need to pull a whole lot more to collect them all. As just a dolphin in the game, this called for some curbing. So I picked the 3 cards that appealed to me most – Xavier (my favourite), Zayne (the most interested in from the trailer) and Sylus (the most cocky-seeming card lmao) and will save my diamonds for future banners. For the record, I spent $72 in addition to my diamond/free pulls today to get these 3!

We streamed our first pulls for Tomorrow’s Catch-22 today: after the 3-day-no-pull strike initiated by the Kittens in CN. I’m not sure if this strike attempt will reap any results, but at the end of the day I hope that all LADs girlies will get to access the amazing stories written by the team and cute cosmetics more easily. After the Yes, Cat Caretaker banner, this banner with the hair separate from the crate of cosmetics seemed a little less generous. So far, pity rates hadn’t been adjusted since the addition of Sylus and Caleb too. So for people who love all 5 love interests (like me), it is getting increasingly expensive to upkeep.

In any case, spend your time without regret! I was happy I got to experience this card with chat. We may have to adjust our stream schedule to play the other cards this week! I’m looking forward to it too much XD

Stream spoiler: I lost my first pity to Sylus’ boxing card and I was MAD but eventually the game made it up to me and gave me my 3 boys through the next 2 pities :”)

Mild card spoiler: The spicy bit shown in the trailer is only a very small part of the overall story, and I enjoyed the rest of it more than I expected to. Xavier retains his sweet, loyal and considerate nature throughout the card and only becomes uncharacteristically hostile for the kindred portion. I almost shed tears at some points because what he said to reassure MC hit a little close to home.
