Fresh off VTuber Summer Slam followed streaming as an official content creator for the Tidal Splash Festival hosted by SEAGamethetic! We’ve participated in a number of game festivals in the past, so how to go about it has become more familiar with me. This summer had lots of cozy game demos to try which I grouped into 3 groups featured on 3 days throughout the week.

1. Jelly Bubble (Steam link)
At its core, Jelly bubble is meant to be played with friends, so regrettably we didn’t get to do that since servers are quiet before release. The tutorial was easy to follow, although the controls were not the most intuitive. I think the different ways to earn points was interesting and I liked how the concept leveraged on bubbles being able to merge and repel! Definitely looking forward to having a BLAST with company in the future.
2. Beacon Patrol (Steam link)
Squawks to be me! This video game version of the 2023 board game took a while to grasp as a first timer. At first, I couldn’t understand why my tiles were not allowed to be placed in certain positions. But after a bit more experience, the requirements for a valid placement became clearer. This is a good introduction to the board game, and it would be interesting to see how we can play in co-op! I loved the cosmetics and many many seagulls we can potentially unlock. It’s a simultaneously challenging and relaxing solo experience.
3. Animal Planner (Steam link)
Animal Planner has a simple concept—to make all the animals happy! It feels like an expansion on the classic river-crossing logic puzzle, now with many more animals and a board which can change as the animals are moved around. I’ve never been the strongest with these kinds of puzzles, so the showcase consists of me mostly struggling to solve them XD The art style and playful sound design make for a delightful puzzling experience. This can be a very satisfying experience once you get it! So give it a try if you are up to the challenge.

4. Elfie: A Sand Plan (Steam link)
Elfie: A Sand Plan is a visualisation logic puzzle where Elfie has all sorts of sandcastles to build~ It starts off simple with the requirements only needing the structure to form specific shapes from one angle. Once the side view is thrown in, things get a lot more complex! That said, the grid map on the side is very helpful to see what you need to tweak. Elfie’s adorable dialogue is what kept me going despite sometimes feeling stuck. The game also reminds you to take breaks and is an overall very comfy experience~!
5. DEEPLANDERS (Steam link)
If you’re a people pleaser…this game might be for you! In DEEPLANDERS, you play a cosmic entity looking after ever-demanding little folk. Bend to their whims and try to keep them satisfied as the level progresses and more amenities and layers get unlocked! I wonder how deep this goes…
6. Kiko’s Apple Adventure (Steam link)
We got to experiences many cute and funny moments in Kiko’s Apple Adventure. Kiko is on their way to collect as many apples as they can to make the biggest apple pie in the world! The puzzles are challenging (or maybe I’m realising I’m just not very good at them…) and the dialogue with various NPCs are adorable! Will you help them with their mission?

7. Alchemic Beasts (Steam link)
Now live on Kickstarter! Alchemic Beasts is a monster-taming game where you get to bond with your captured beasts and that bond determines their evolutions and combat choices. Within the demo, we got to see that the even the player takes actions on their turn! Many mysteries still surround the world of the Alchemic Beasts, but I can’t wait for more to be revealed. The demo is now available to try!
8. Lost & Found Co. (Steam link)
Lost & Found Co. is an adorable search-and-find game where you look for items belonging to various characters in the game. The character writing is super cute and I loved how you had to interact with the maps to find certain things! So much love has been put into the game, with so many extra dialogues and surprises to discover as you play. Give it a try!
9. Birdwatching Notebook (Steam link)
I felt like one of those bird uncles who sit at the void deck with their birds to admire them and enjoy their company with Birdwatching Notebook. The visitors you get in this game are cute and have such lovely animations. The pixel art style is lovely, with great accompanying sound design and countless decorations to unlock. Catch the birdies resting, flying, or feeding, and learn more about each species as you document them!
10. Bathhouse Creatures (Steam link)
Ever wanted to run a bathhouse for animals? Try Bathhouse Creatures, a simple but increasingly hectic simulator where you run a hot spring establishment with the help of little dragons and yourself! With enough upgrades, some of the more tedious processes can be offloaded to automation. The animal dialogues are kind of heartwarming and cute! But they are also rather inconsiderate, tossing litter in the place…
On stream, we completed the ducks chapter! More remains to be delighted in if you’d like to give it a try.
11. Cat Isle (Steam link)
An idle game with fishing, gachapon, and kitties? Sign me up immediately! Cat Isle was such a cute and relaxing game, with a clear tutorial that showed us all the fun features it had to offer. The game comes with lovely customisation options, and with each in-game day, cats are sent to your island to relax. It’s almost like you’re running a tourist destination for day trippers. It has a soothing, low commitment feeling to it.
12. Cozy Beach (Steam link)
If you like Webfishing, you will enjoy Cozy Beach! In this cute game, you play an adorable animal who found themselves on a beachy island, with a decently sized map to explore and many little islands around to visit! Catch fish and other interesting oddities to complete missions to unlock currency and clothing. In the demo, there were a variety of customization options and expressions to play with! Cozy Beach provides an ultimate chill co-op fishing experience with snorkeling, dancing, and more to come.
13. Pastel☆Parade (Steam link)
Fancy a cutesy rhythm game with adorable original songs? Pastel☆Parade takes after Rhythm Heaven with quirky mini-games and unique animations for each track! The game follows 4 friends who form a band and travel throughout the town spending time jamming to the little delights of daily life. They have really cute interactions in between which will leave you feeling like a part of their friend group! It was delightful to get to try it this festival.

14. Merry Crisis (Steam link)
Where do I begin with Merry Crisis! It was such a surreal experience playing a romance visual novel set in Singapore. When the settings are so familiar, it feels like you are already living in its world.
Our story follows a heartbroken main character (MC) with fresh wounds from their break-up with long-term partner, Nat. The uncertain future suddenly opens up opportunities to entertain new possibilities, something they have not considered for a long time.
But, faster than we could say ‘tan! (等),’ our world gets thrown into a frenzy of non-stop heart-pounding moments and mixed emotions. On our one-week trip back to Singapore, we encounter Shay and Qiu. Shay, an exciting new neighbor whose chemistry with MC is hard to deny, and Qiu, your first flame of an intense, ambitious nature. Each love interest had me yearning to know how things could (or could have) unfolded, and left me with a deep desire to know ‘what if‘ at the end of the demo.
In this game, you can define your identity, sexuality, family relationships, and attitudes to New York/Singapore deeply. The writing style feels like you are reading through a diary of someone’s personal experience. Every encounter feels like a living, breathing person. MC’s family, especially, reminded me of my own and hit very close to home. The writing is gripping and the events of the story keep you turning the pages.
To say that I thoroughly enjoyed Merry Crisis would be an understatement. I didn’t even notice the time fly by as we played the demo! I’d highly recommend you to experience this story for yourself, especially if you are Singaporean!
15. Tale of REN (Steam link)
A society fueled by invoking the emotions of creatures from other planets and taking their heart essence as energy? Colour me intrigued! Meet our unsuspecting protagonist, Nanami, a starry-eyed undercover student who is secretly from the planet of Ren. She has an established personality of being caring and sincere, which makes for many cute moments with the rest of the cast. Her earnest approach grants her access to four main love interests which you are scheduled to pursue within the playthrough. If you’re looking for a lighthearted romance visual novel full of fluff, Tale of REN might be for you!
16. Kooeh: A Timeless Delight (Steam link)
The title “Kooeh” is a play on the term “Kueh” (or Kuih) a collective term for some small, bite-sized sweet and savoury snacks found in Singapore and Southeast Asia which often have a gelatinous texture. It’s a rather broad term encompassing a variety of Kueh. Similarly, the game has many menu items you can choose from to create for your stall!
Along the way, you meet colourful characters and slowly uncover their stories while you serve them. In the short time we had with this game, it felt like it was generous with it’s ingredients and means to acquire them, making the process quite relaxing. Give this game a try if you’d like to learn more about these delicious Southeast Asian bites!
17. Urban Jungle (Steam link)
This plant puzzler certainly kept me on my toes! The levels have levels, allowing for an easier clearance requirement but also including side objectives for those who want to challenge themselves! Read and familiarise yourself with each plant’s needs and place them in the most optimal position!
Every plant has preferences, from it’s need for water and sunlight to it’s preferred plant pals. There is also a heartwarming underlying narrative to the game that is sweet to read. Give it a try!
18. Froggy Brews (Steam link)
We’ve previously covered Forggy Brews briefly during Southeast Asia Game Onward (SEAGO2025). The demo has expanded on the introduction a little since then. Get to know the villagers, mix up their favourite teas, find ingredients all around, and become the best teahouse in town! The puzzling lies in learning to fit each ingredient’s piece on a grid, so visual gamers will really enjoy this.
19. Foxy Dumplings (Steam link)
Last but not least, we have this adorable game called Foxy Dumplings! From the moment I saw their trailer at ENDIX 2026, I knew I’d love to try it. In Foxy Dumplings, you play a young fox named Lisa. Supported by her grandmother and brother, she sets off on a TALL camper van-food truck equipped with living amenities, a garden and kitchen to make a mark on the world.
Lisa has anxiety, so when your energy runs low, it gets hard to concentrate. Despite everything, she persists and creates new recipes to meet the taste of her customers. The tutorials are especially helpful, and keep an eye on the ingredients you need! This game includes minigame elements like in Cooking Mama and KuloNiku, and has a comfortable pace for cozy gamers to enjoy.
